Music Director

CLINTON FROHM has been a professional musician for 45 years, and has been the music director and conductor of Murray Symphony for the last 16 years.  Mr. Frohm's conducting and teaching experience is extensive. He has served as a music educator and conductor for over 35 years at the University of Utah, Westminster College, Utah Valley State College, Cottonwood High School, and Granite High School.

He was the leader of the Local 104 Big Band and the Clint Frohm Big Band. He has performed professionally with numerous individuals and groups, including the Utah Symphony, Pioneer Memorial Theater Orchestra, and the Capitol Theater Orchestra. He was a sideman with Elvis Presley, Engelbrecht Humperdink, Bob Hope, the Mills Brothers, 4 Tops, Lou Rawls, Pegg Lee, Marty Robbins, Bill Watrous, Phil Woods, Louie Bellson, Clark Terry, Melissa Manchester, Bobby Goldborough and many others. He also toured with Buddy Morrow and Frank Gorshen.


Mr. Frohm has been the Instructional Coordinator for music in the Granite School District as well as the Coordinator and Conductor of the Granite Youth Symphony for many years. He also acts as a clinician, adjudicator and soloist throughout the Intermountain region.


Mr. Frohm has served as UMEA vice president for 3 terms, serves as the Advocacy Chair, and has also served on various committees, the ARTS, Inc. (Board Member) and the Utah Arts Council.  The Murray Symphony is grateful for his years of dedication and musical inspiration.
