From Darkness Into Light

The Murray Symphony, under the music direction of Michelle Willis and assistant conductor Ernie Nielsen, brings you an evening of musical contrasts. Featuring guests the Wasatch Chorale, A 94-member ensemble from Provo, and Katie Damon, harpist from Columbus State University in Georgia, The symphony will present several works by English composer John Rutter as well as music by Modest Mussorgsky, John Williams, Danny Elfman, and Carl Orff. Descend into darkness with “Night on Bald Mountain”, “Duel Of the Fates”, “Alice’s Theme”, and “O Fortuna” from Carmina Burana. After intermission, let the music fill you with bright light as they perform “Gloria“ and “Suite Lyrique” by Rutter.
