Scheherazade

Be part of an enchanting evening and immerse yourself in the lore of 1,001 Arabian Nights with the musical adaptation of Scheherazade by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov. Murray Symphony, under the direction of Michelle Willis, co-sponsors this remarkable night with Ballet Center Utah, Inc., who will present the ballet in its entirety. The choreography by Michelle & Isabelle Armstrong will be a world-premiere and will highlight talented dancers from around the state, including Rachel Norton as Scheherazade and Christian Tippetts as the Sultan. Don’t miss your chance to get swept away in the stories of Aladdin, The Young Prince & the Young Princess, and Ali-Baba and the 40 Thieves, and see how the cleverness and endurance of one woman melts the heart of a jaded sultan.
