About the event

Murray Symphony will be premiering a brand new work for orchestra written by Michael R. Packham. "The Great Salt Lake Suite" has 5 movements--each one depicting a different period of the lake's existence: prehistoric, the American Indians, homesteaders and pioneers, the roaring 20's, and modern day. The piece awakens a love for this magnificent part of Utah and invites listeners to invest themselves in the perpetual journey of the Great Salt Lake.

The concert will also include pieces by Aaron Copland, G.F. Handel, Richard Strauss, and Bedrich Smetena. Please join us for these exciting concert premieres!
